Watch: Topless Feminist Tries to Steal Baby Jesus from Famous Nativity, but Guards Have Other Plans

As the world prepared to celebrate the birth of Christ, feminists in Italy once again made themselves a laughing stock by stripping town and running topless toward the Vatican’s nativity display to steal the baby Jesus statue. And it’s all on video.

A member of the extremist feminist group called the “Femen” ran into the display near Rome at St. Peter’s Square on Monday, but was immediately slapped down by police.

The idiotic attack on the display occurred about two hours before Pope Francis delivered his Christmas message to the gathered multitude.

Reuter reported that the activist ripped off her shirt and jumped over the police barricades screaming “God is a woman!” at the top of her lungs. She apparently had the same slogan painted on her bare torso.

Vatican police were able to stop her in the act and prevent her from making off with the baby Jesus statue.

Femen claimed the stunt was a protest against the Catholic Church’s “infringement of the rights of women to their own bodies.” Those alleged infringements apparently included the pope’s “promotion of the ban on abortion” and also “sacred condemnation” of contraception.

The Femen group reported that the woman who was arrested in the act of vandalism was a “sextremist” named Alisa Vinogradova.

The group also released a statement on their website saying:

FEMEN considers the anti-war policy of the Vatican a rough medieval attack on the freedom of women and their natural rights.

FEMEN encourages women to follow the example of the movement and kidnap babies from religious denominations, thus, stating their right to use of their own body!

A child is not from a god, but from a woman! For a woman is God!

The Femen staged the same stunt on Christmas Day in 2014 and even managed to get the baby Jesus statue out of the crib before being brought down by police.

The Ukraine-based Femen say their goal is “complete victory over patriarchy,” whatever that is supposed to mean.

If that wasn’t all absurd enough, during his Christmas message the pope himself went on to compound the stupidity with the claim that the nativity story in the Bible was somehow “like” the so-called “plight” of immigrants today.

Even though the story of Christ’s birth as detailed in the Books of Matthew and Luke have nothing whatever to do with immigration, this Red Pope insisted that the nativity story was just like today’s problem of mass immigration swamping the shores of Europe and the U.S.

As per the New York Post:

Francis celebrated late evening Christmas vigil Mass in the splendor of St. Peter’s Basilica, telling the faithful that the “simple story” of Jesus’ birth in a manger changed “our history forever. Everything that night became a source of hope.”

Noting that Mary and Joseph arrived in a land “where there was no place for them,” Francis drew parallels to contemporary time.

“So many other footsteps are hidden in the footsteps of Joseph and Mary,” he said in his homily. “We see the tracks of entire families forced to set out in our own day. We see the tracks of millions of persons who do not choose to go away but, driven from their land, leave behind their dear ones.”

Francis has made concern for economic migrants, war refugees and others on society’s margins a central plank of his papacy. He said God is present in “the unwelcomed visitor, often unrecognizable, who walks through our cities and our neighborhoods, who travels on our buses and knocks on our door.” That perception of God should develop into “new forms of relationship, in which none have to feel that there is no room for them on this Earth,” he said.

But in fact, Joseph and Mary were not “immigrants” or migrants of any sort. They were simply traveling from one city to another for a temporary stay. Joseph and Mary both had a life in Nazareth and were not seeking any “better prospects” in Bethlehem.

Indeed, not a single character in the story is an immigrant of any kind. But, this Red Pope won’t miss any opportunity to turn his religion into a chance to pontificate for far left-wing modern political causes.
